Who We Are
La Voz is dedicated to empowering students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Our organization accomplishes this mission by providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities for professional growth to high schoolers, undergraduate students, and law students across Nevada.
Why Your Support Matters
Diversity and representation are vital to our profession, yet they remain among its greatest shortcomings. For many students from underrepresented backgrounds, the path to a legal career can feel isolating and intimidating without mentorship and resources. These barriers continue to limit who has the opportunity to enter and succeed in the legal profession.
La Voz is committed to creating pathways and bridging that gap by providing students with invaluable mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed in the legal field. But we can’t do it without your support.
Your Impact in Action
Since 2008, our nationally recognized, award-winning Huellas Mentorship Program has helped cultivate the next generation of legal professionals in our community by connecting students with dedicated mentors at every stage of their academic and professional journey. This program pairs a judge or attorney, a law student, an undergraduate student, and a high school student.
We are proud to share that this year was our biggest year of Huellas to date. The program consists of 60 attorney mentors, 40 law students, 139 undergraduate students, and 91 high school students across Nevada—totaling 330 participants!
Sponsorship Levels
We are grateful to share that La Voz has secured a grant this year that will double your contribution. The Nevada Bar Foundation has provided a generous matching grant of $10,000 to support our Huellas Mentorship Program. Your donations will be doubled up to $10,000.
