Empower a Lifetime of Learning and Discovery
The UNLV College of Liberal Arts (COLA) is the intellectual and cultural heart of a dynamic, urban research university. As the largest and most interdisciplinary college at UNLV, COLA brings together the humanities and social sciences to tackle complex human challenges—locally and globally. Our location in Las Vegas gives students a living laboratory for studying culture, policy, justice, communication, creativity, and the human condition in one of the most diverse and fast-changing cities in the nation.
COLA students are first-generation, multilingual, community-rooted, and ambitious. They graduate with more than a degree—they leave with adaptable skills employers value most: critical thinking, communication, ethical reasoning, cultural fluency, and creative problem-solving.
Our programs blend rigorous academics with experiential learning, including undergraduate and graduate research, internships, community-based projects, and public scholarship. Graduates go on to careers in law, public service, education, media, nonprofits, business, technology, and the arts, often becoming leaders and changemakers in Southern Nevada and beyond.
