David R. Navarro, AKA The Rebel-In-Chief, was a first-generation college student and graduate. Being a first-generation student and graduate came with a lot of challenges as he had to navigate the unchartered territory of higher education. However, those challenges were exceeded by the knowledge, connections, joy, and pride he would go on to experience for himself and his family. Education was at the center of his success, and he can think of no better way to enjoy success than to share it with others.

The Navarro Family Access for All Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 to provide funds to first-generation college students with modest financial means so they know that they are not alone in their pursuit of bettering themselves and achieving their full potential.
