The UNLV Athletics Inaugural Governor's Dinner is an evening dedicated to celebrating the impact of Rebel Athletics while bringing together donors, corporate partners, community leaders, alumni, and supporters to invest in the success of more than 500 student-athletes.

The evening will include a live and silent auction, dinner, and a special program with university and athletics leadership, featuring special guest Governor Joe Lombardo and keynote speaker Glenn Carano.

Glenn Carano is a distinguished UNLV alumnus, former NFL quarterback, and accomplished Nevada business leader. A standout starting quarterback for the Rebels from 1973 to 1976, he helped establish the program's reputation, becoming one of its first nationally recognized quarterbacks. His success at UNLV led directly to his NFL career, where he was selected in the second round of the 1977 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys and went on to earn a Super Bowl XII championship during his seven-season NFL career. Following football, Carano spent decades in executive leadership with Eldorado Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, helping shape one of the nation's premier gaming and hospitality companies. A member of the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame and a longtime civic leader, he has remained a dedicated champion of higher education, athletics, and the Southern Nevada community.
