UNLV Department of Art
A Dynamic and Diverse Hub for Visual Art, Graphic Design, and Art History
The UNLV Department of Art prepares students to thrive in today’s dynamic creative landscape through rigorous studio practice, critical inquiry, and professional development.
Offering nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in areas such as painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, graphic design and media, and art history, the department combines traditional artistic foundations with contemporary approaches and emerging technologies.
Through exhibitions, visiting artist programs, community engagement, and partnerships with venues such as the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art and Donna Beam Gallery, students gain hands-on experience while developing the creative vision and professional skills needed for successful careers in the visual arts.
Investments in the Department of Art strengthen our role as a leader in the study and practice of art, design, and art history.
