UNLV School of Dental Medicine
Building Healthier Communities, One Smile at a Time
About the UNLV School of Dental Medicine
Founded in 2002 as Nevada’s only accredited dental school, the UNLV School of Dental Medicine prepares socially aware, clinically adept professionals committed to serving a changing society. Our mission extends far beyond the classroom, focusing heavily on advancing oral healthcare and providing compassionate service to underserved populations.
Through the dedicated efforts of our faculty, residents, and students, the school completes approximately 70,000 patient visits each year. Between 2011 and 2019 alone, our teams provided more than $5.1 million in free care to over 20,000 Nevadans through community outreach initiatives, alongside $3.5 million in philanthropic care at our on-site clinics. By integrating evidence-based education with robust public service, we are actively developing stronger educators, creating future professionals, and building healthier communities. Your generosity directly supports this vital mission.
Philanthropic gifts provide student scholarships, critical patient assistance, and clinical resources that ensure access to care for children, families, veterans, and vulnerable populations across our community. Thanks to the ongoing support of our alumni, friends, and community partners, much has been accomplished—but there is still more to do. Join us as we take the next step toward a brighter future in oral healthcare.
Together, we are building healthier communities, one patient, one student, and one smile at a time.
